An Introduction to Literature-Hamlet

An Introduction to Literature
William Shakespere
1963

The intended audience of this piece of work was most definatly not made for the future modern day audience today. Since this play was written in the early 16th century in London England, it was designed for a small group of people and destined for the main common class of people in England at that time. This main common class did not likely include any other race except the white people of London. Also, since the lower class had the largest population in London, this play was probably written to please the emotions of this crowd. Also, one can conclude that since this play is a dramatic tragedy, and most of the plays that William Shakespere wrote were tragedys, he wanted to please the emotional probably depressed crowd of the common class of London at that time.
