An Introduction to Literature-Hamlet

An Introduction to Literature
William Shakespere
1963

William Shakespere seems to be on an equal level with the audience of this play. As a playwriter, William Shakespere is partially required to bend to his audience. If William Shakespere does not bend to his audience, then he would become an unsuccessful playwright. My estimation is that the lower classes of London in that time were in difficult times because the majority of William Shakesperes plays were tragedys and as a playwright he would attempt to match his audiences mood. So, William Shakespere would try and put himself on the same level that his audience, (white, lower class Londoners) to establish a more serious relationship with them. With this firm relationship between the crowd and the author of this book, Shakespere is able to write his plays to lean toward the common people, because that is where he would get his money.
